`Diversifying the Mainstream’ – bookings now open!
Book in now for `Diversifying the Mainstream’ a YPWN forum which looks at ways and means of including a wider cross section of young people in our participatory work. The Youth Participation Workers Network is proud to announce its up and coming forum on Wednesday 16th September from 10am until 3pm to be held At CO-AS-IT in Carlton, central Melbourne.
Inspiration, practical tips and workshops, a delicious light lunch, as well and tea and coffee, are all included!
To register for this forum please email: info@yacvic.org.au giving the title of the forum and we will send you a registration form. The cost of the forum will be a bargain $45 with a discounted price of $20 for young people who attend who are not a `worker’ in a youth organisation. Places are limited due to space, so please book in quickly.
Registrations close on Thursday 10th September at 5pm.
The forum will include speakers from a wide range of youth participation experience: nongovernmental organisations, government orgs, local council perspectives etc and will also include a number of practical workshops and facilitated discussions to enable us to better include a wide variety of young people in the work we do. It will include a focus on promoting beyond `the usual suspects’ and group management skills to help retain and support young people when they get there!
