Handy if you live in Dandy…

Paulina’s story September 3, 2009

“I am of a Latin American heritage and have lived in Australia for the vast majority of my life. Due to living away from extended family, my immediate family and I have built a strong relationship with our church community over time; have become our family here in Australia. I developed a great passion for youth work and cultural diversity 4 years ago when I commenced my participation in the leadership team in my church youth group. During these four years I have taken part in planning camps, weekly Friday night bible studies and even took part in an exposure trip to the Northern Territory through a Christian organization called Global Interaction in 2006. During my time in church ministry, I have matured greatly, spiritually and mentally. I have also had many chances to share my Christian values to young people in my community, and truly believe that I will be able to positively affect the lives of many young people as a Christian youth worker.”  Paulina, VU Youth Work Student
