The weekends are going to be even sweeter in September with free Zone 2 bus travel.
For each Saturday and Sunday in September, you can travel for FREE by bus to any destination within Zone 2.
It’s all part of discovering how handy buses are to catch cross-town. What’s more, buses are a great way to get from one leisure point to another on the weekend.
The dates for free weekend bus travel in Zone 2 are as follows:
- 5-6 September 2009;
- 12-13 September 2009;
- 19-20 September 2009,
- 26-27 September 2009.
On the above weekends, free travel is available to passengers travelling on buses (including NightRider) within Zone 2. This includes travel within the Zone 1/2 overlap and the 2/C overlap.
Free travel on Zone 2 buses is available from 12.01am on Saturday morning to 11.59pm on Sunday night on the weekends listed above.
Your local Zone 2 bus driver will be happy to wave you on free-of-charge during the weekends in September. Just be sure to have a valid Metcard if you’re travelling beyond Zone 2 or switching to a train or bus.
